Davis-Putter
Scholarship Fund - For Activist Students
One-year (max $6,000 USD)
scholarships for graduate or undergraduate students enrolled in
the United States (although they do not need to be US citizens)
Davis-Putter Scholarship

movement for social and economic justice.
Scholarship Information:
*This scholarship and how to
apply is subject to change yearly. Please email the below address
or search the internet for “Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund” in order to
understand the current application process.*
Early recipients of the
Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund fought for civil rights, against
McCarthyism and to stop the war in Vietnam. More recently,
grantees have been active in the struggle against racism, sexism,
homophobia and other forms of oppression; building the movement for
economic justice; and creating peace through international,
anti-imperialist solidarity. The maximum grant is $6,000 and may be
considerably smaller depending on the applicant's circumstances and the
amount of funding available. Although US citizenship is not a
consideration, applicants must live in the United States and plan to
enrol in an accredited program in the US in order to qualify. There is
a
strong preference for grantees who plan to stay in the United States
and
build the progressive movement here. If you have any questions
